How to get to Fernie alpine ski resort

To get to Fernie you can fly to Calgary, we would recommend using Air Canada,
British Airways or for cheaper flights try Air Transat or Monarch.

Delta Airlines started flights to Cranbrook from several US airports in Dec 08
and with only a 50-60 minute  transfer to Fernie is a good option.

To transfer you can pre book a mini shuttle/coach transfer to Fernie alpine resort.

We have done it several times and it is pretty straight forward.

Flying

If flying to Calgary from the UK use Air Canada or British Airways which service Calgary, or you if you are on a budget try a flight with Monarch Airlines or Air Transat, these can be booked at www.canadianaffair.com.

Air Transat are pretty good and good value.

For Cranbook Airport you can fly with Delta Airlines via various US airports the benefit of this is that the transfer from Cranbrook to Fernie is only about an hour, but the flight and air transfer may take longer. So its swings and roundabouts as to which is best.

Airport
Transfers

Peak Connexxions (previously Rocky Mountain Shuttles) pick up twice a day from Calgary, mid morning and at 16:30, adult return is around $132CA pick up at Calgary Airport. They do drop/pick up at Stone Creek chalets at Fernie alpine resort.

The cheapest option from Calgary is by Greyhound bus which has a stop at the airport but this involves a wait til late evening at the airport. Go to www.greyhound.ca
