Ski & Board School

The Learn to Ski/Board 3 day package for beginners is excellent value and we would recommend you do this and then top up the rest of your holiday with lift pass and equipment hire for the days you want to ski, i.e. buy another 5 out of 6 days for a 9 day holiday and have a days rest. Ski school and equipment hire is easily arranged at the ski base or can be per-booked online.

On your Fernie alpine resort ski holidays we would also recommend a 3 days ski school on your holiday even if you are not a beginner the groups are limited to 6-8 people per instructor and are grouped on level 1 to 6, and are much better organised in Canada than Europe. Your skiing/boarding will definitely improve here.

The apartment is ideally located and is only a few minutes from the lifts, as you can see the Fernie mountains in the Canadian Rockies have some lovely skiing to offer and you won't be disappointed. You can relax in the apartment and get rid of the aches and pains in the hot tub then go off to a restaurant on the mountain or in town.

Fernie town has lots to offer with shops, supermarkets, and many restaurants and bars. Eating out can be varied from the burger bar type meals to gourmet dinners. Fernie has its own Ice Hockey Team, the Ghostriders, and they are well worth seeing play in the local ice rink in town, you can also go ice skating in the week if bored with skiing or boarding. There is also a swimming pool with water slides in town.
