are inclined. Below are some tips for dinning out and things to do whilst
staying at the Fernie ski resort.

awards and offer urban variety. Whether you desire something casual and
delicious, a bite of fine pub food, or your tastes tend toward the more
sophisticated end of the culinary spectrum, Fernie’s restaurants will

Pizza |
There
is something for every pizza lover at Elk Valley Pizza, where the pizzas
are made from scratch and range from the classic pepperoni to more exotic
varieties like Octoberfest.

to enjoy the fine culinary items offered at Island Lake Lodge, nestled beside
an alpine lake and an enchanted old-growth forest. (have not been here) |

Pub’s history of great food and good times is sure to please; try their
delicious wings, or share a platter of favorites with friends. |

Enjoy the friendly slopeside elegance of The Wood and
try their roasted crepe torte or crispy confit duck leg and cured duck
breast. Up on the mountain next to the Griz Inn. Excellent food at the
Fernie Alpine Resort. (NOTE - possibly closing in
2008, may be reopening as another resuarant under new
management)

beside the visitor centre, has cosy and spacious rooms with a outdoor hot
tub.The Sawai Thai restaurant, is serving authentic Thai cuisine dine-in
or take-out at affordable prices. |

Entertainment
|

We would recommend
you go and see them it is a great night out. Go to the Pub at Park Place
early and get a reduced ticket and a basket of Chicken wings and a few
beers then onto the Ice Hockey, 2 minutes walk away, then a taxi bus back
to the ski hill.

Why not go Cat skiing
and boarding in fantastic backcountry this is a must for the more proficient
when you ski Fernie. terrain is predominately gladded tree skiing, with
occasional tree bands leading into open chutes suitable for advanced intermediate
to advanced type skier. They also do Fishing and Wilderness adventures.

Powder Cowboy are not far from
Fernie but you will need to drive or get a taxi there, they may offer
a pick up drop off service. They have 6000 acres of Back Country and two
Cat Track vehicles and you can stay up on the mountain over night.

Go Dog Sledding a get afternoon out from skiing or boarding, and see some
of the beautiful scenery. |

Cinema - is downtown with current films showing. |

- sports and swimming centre with pool slide is open to all and is good
fun. |

Fernie has some excellent
golf course so if you are staying in spring or summer it is perfect.

Bowling - there is a Bowling rink down in Fernie for a fun family night
out. |

Our Condo is in a wonderful location on the ski hill
at Fernie alpine resort and is an ideal base place to enjoy your Fernie
ski holidays.

the best airfares Fernie ski resort gets booked up for certain times quite
early
